Cookie Policy
This policy covers the files and privacy controls of this static website. Its only optional embedded third-party service is YouTube.
1. Scope and controller
This notice describes cookies and similar technologies in the replacement static website at www.blenderlensflare.com. The controller is Beniamino Della Torre, Via Torino 36, 12045 Fossano (CN), Italy; info [at] blenderlensflare [dot] com. Read our Privacy Policy for data-processing purposes, recipients and your rights.
2. What loads before you make a choice?
The website’s own code sets no HTTP cookies. After you make a privacy choice, it writes one first-party localStorage entry, lf_privacy_choice_v1, solely to remember and document that preference. It is necessary for the requested privacy-control function and is not used for analytics or advertising. The website contains no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, Google Fonts or embedded store widgets. System fonts require no request to a font provider. Our media and downloadable resources are served from our hosting. Browser caching of these files is not used by us to identify visitors.
YouTube thumbnails are not requested from Google: covers are hosted with our website. No YouTube player is loaded until you explicitly allow it. Hosting logs are a separate form of technical processing described in the Privacy Policy.
No additional analytics, marketing or embedded services are enabled for this static website. Ordinary links to Superhive, Gumroad and YouTube do not load those services merely by being displayed. Following a link takes you to the destination under its own privacy arrangements.
3. Optional YouTube videos
Provider: Google / YouTube (Google Ireland Limited for relevant EEA services). The integration displays the Flared2 and Glared2 presentations. The central privacy banner offers “Allow YouTube” and “Reject optional” with equal prominence. Closing the initial banner also keeps YouTube blocked. A player loads only with valid permission and a request to play. Selecting Play while blocked opens the central privacy panel without loading the player. Selecting “Allow YouTube” in that panel starts the requested presentation; refusing keeps it blocked. The rest of the site remains available.
The player uses privacy-enhanced mode through youtube-nocookie.com. According to YouTube, views in this mode do not personalise the viewer’s YouTube experience, and ads served in the player are non-personalised. This does not guarantee an absence of cookies, storage or data transfers. Google may process information for playback, preferences, security and service measurement.
For provider details see YouTube embedding information, Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s cookie information.
4. Storage and duration
| Technology / provider | Purpose and activation | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| lf_privacy_choice_v1 First-party localStorage on this website’s origin | Necessary privacy preference. Records the choice, action, dates, schema and notice version. It applies to both YouTube presentations. No visitor identifier or server copy. | Six calendar months from the latest choice. Replaced when changed; expired entries are ignored and removed on the next use of the site. You can delete it earlier in the browser. |
| YouTube cookies and similar storage Google / YouTube | Optional player, enabled only after consent and a request to play. Browser settings, player behaviour and Google account context can affect which items are used. | Varies by item. Provider-documented examples appear below; these are not a complete observation of this deployment. |
Examples documented by Google
Google’s cookie information, checked on 16 September 2026, describes the following YouTube-related items. Listing an item here does not mean that it was observed in this privacy-enhanced player.
| Item | Documented use | Documented lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| YSC | Security against spam, fraud and abuse | Session |
| PREF | Playback preferences | 8 months from last use |
| __Secure-YNID | YouTube preferences and other purposes described by Google; replaces VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE | 6 months |
| __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN | Feature rollouts and related measurement | 6 months |
The table reports Google’s documented items and lifetimes, not a claim that every listed item is stored on every visit. Browser restrictions, account state and updates to the player can change what is used. The entire embedded player remains blocked until consent; withdrawing it removes the player and prevents further loading.
5. Refusal, withdrawal and deletion
No choice is required to browse or download files. You can leave YouTube blocked or use the ordinary “Watch on YouTube” link, which opens YouTube under its own privacy arrangements.
“Privacy choices” is always available on every page. Select “Reject optional” there to withdraw permission. The saved preference is updated and embedded players are removed. Other open tabs on the same origin receive the change through browser storage events. If a tab was suspended, it checks the choice when it becomes visible again.
The banner does not automatically reappear on each visit after refusal. It can reappear after six calendar months, when the record is missing or invalid, or when the purposes or services change and a new notice version is needed. Reloading the page does not revoke valid consent. If storage is unavailable, only a temporary choice for the current page is possible.
Withdrawal prevents further player loading; it does not undo earlier processing or erase Google’s cookies or data. Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove third-party storage, and Google’s privacy controls for account-related information. Deleting our preference makes the website start with YouTube blocked.
The local record is not a central or tamper-proof consent register. It is stored only on your device and may be deleted or modified there. We do not receive a history of individual choices.
6. Changes
If we add a service or change the consent mechanism, this notice and the relevant controls will be updated before that service is enabled. Further privacy questions can be sent to the controller at the address above.
